MEET THE TEAM

MEG - CO-OWNER/COACH

With an elite sporting background, Meg knows exactly what it takes to push performance to the next level. From being a national rower and rowing coach to playing for the AFLW, her athletic journey is nothing short of impressive. After retiring from football, Meg found her calling in coaching, eager to share her passion for strength training with others. As the resident expert on row erg technique, you can be sure she’ll have you rowing like a pro. And when the music’s on, Meg’s the one keeping the vibes high as our resident DJ, always up for a dance.

STEPH - CO-OWNER/COACH

With over 15 years as a physiotherapist specialising in pain management, Steph transitioned from treating injuries to empowering others to prevent them through strength training. Her mission? To get everyone lifting weights as strength is the key to health & longevity.

A former VFLW footballer and Hyrox World Championship competitor, she’s now embracing her hybrid athlete era. While Steph mostly works behind the scenes, she’s in the gym every day training and coaching as needed. Whether it’s injury management, Hyrox tips, or some motivation—Steph’s got you.

DAVE - STUDIO MANAGER/SENIOR COACH

With a Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science and years of experience coaching everyone from weekend warriors to elite athletes at North Melbourne Football Club, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge—and a big dose of humour—to the studio.

Dave is known for his clear communication, genuine care, and endless supply of dad jokes. If you’re new here, he’s probably the friendly voice you’ll hear first on the phone.

Whether you’re chasing better health, more strength, or just a good laugh mid-workout, Dave will make you feel right at home.

CONNOR - HEAD COACH

Originally from New Zealand, Connor has brought his passion for strength training and a wealth of experience to the Surf Coast, where he now calls home with his young family.

With a sharp eye for technique and deep knowledge of all things lifting, there isn’t a deadlift he can’t fine-tune. Connor leads by example—ask him about his 220kg deadlift PB if you need a bit of inspiration!

If you’re new to the studio, Connor will likely be the one guiding you through your induction and setting you up for success.

KATE (WALLY) - COACH

Our resident hype girl, Wally brings unstoppable energy and a big heart to every session. With years of experience in group fitness, she’s passionate about helping people—especially mums—get back into training, build confidence, and make new friends along the way.

As a mum of four herself, Wally knows exactly how to make fitness feel approachable and fun (fueled, of course, by plenty of caffeine). When she’s coaching, you can count on a great workout and plenty of laughs.

DEAN - COACH

Dean brings years of personal training experience to the team, with a passion for helping people discover the life-changing benefits of strength training.

Dean is a big believer that strength is for everyone. He loves breaking down complex lifts and sharing his knowledge in simple, accessible ways (just check out his Instagram for proof!).

When he’s not coaching or working on his own lifts, you’ll find Dean chasing after his two young kids.
